Hermes Personal is a self-hosted assistant operated for personal use. Google authorization grants access to Gmail messages and settings in read-only mode, the list of subscribed calendars, and calendar events for reading and editing.

Processing

Google data is retrieved to answer the operator's requests and perform requested calendar actions. Relevant message or event content may be sent to the configured AI model provider through OpenRouter for inference. Responses may be delivered through the operator's connected messaging service, including Telegram. This is not exclusively local processing.

Storage

OAuth credentials are stored in private files on the assistant server. Conversations and task outputs may contain retrieved data and remain in local agent state. Encrypted backups are stored in Cloudflare R2. Provider-side processing and retention are governed by the applicable providers' terms and settings.

Control

The operator can revoke access at Google Account connections. Revoking access stops future authorized requests but does not automatically erase existing conversation records or backups. Those can be removed through the operator's server and backup management.
